Independent bottlers are usually smaller businesses or individuals whose main job is to source the best whisky casks available in Scotland. Their whiskies are very limited, with just a few hundred bottles per release. These whiskies often come from distilleries you have never heard of or whiskies with funky characteristics, flavour profiles and unexpected maturation processes.

Whiskies from independent bottlers often come from one particular cask (single cask) at a higher %ABV, which means more flavour, complexity, and characteristics regardless of age.
