The bars remain a surprise until the tour begins, adding a touch of discovery to the Experience!

  • Start: Meet your guide in central Inverness (specific meeting point will be provided after booking).
  • Stop 1: Live music performance, History, four Scottish tapas and your first two whiskies in a cosy local pub.
  • Walk: A short stroll through the cobbled streets and hidden closes of the old town.
  • Stop 2: A second venue with one contrasting whisky from a local independent bottler and a deeper dive into the whisky culture.
  • Walk: Stories of Inverness’s whisky past as you make your way to the final stop.
  • Stop 3: Final dram from a different independent bottler in a characterful Highland bar with plenty of time for Q&A and conversation.
  • Finish: The tour concludes at the final venue, centrally located in the city, offering easy access to local transportation and restaurants.
  • Tour Duration: approximately 3 hours.
  • Distance walked: approx 1 km (0.6 miles).

  • Languages: Tours are conducted in English; however, we can also offer tours in other languages, such as Italian, Spanish, and French, for groups of four or more people. Please contact us to arrange a tour in one of the mentioned languages.
  • If you prefer not to drink any whisky, we offer a Non-drinker ticket that can be purchased during booking.
  • The route is walkable and low-impact, but may not be fully accessible for individuals with wheelchairs or limited mobility. Please contact us for options.

Can I book this for a group or company?

Will there be food?

  • Four Scottish tapas are included in the first bar if you have booked the Full Experience.

What if I don’t drink alcohol?

  • We offer a Non-Drinker ticket for attendees who do not wish to consume alcohol, allowing you to fully enjoy the experience.

Are children allowed (Under 18 years old)?

  • Yes, you can purchase non-drinker tickets for the children, but they must be accompanied by an adult at all times; they cannot attend the tour alone. Additionally, due to strict licensing regulations, you will need to buy food for them at the last venue. Anything from their food menu, from snacks to main courses.

How far will we walk?

  • The route covers around 1 km (0.6 miles) in total, with breaks at each venue. It’s a gentle pace suitable for most fitness levels.

Can I purchase additional drinks on the tour?

  • Certainly! You can do so at your own expense, as long as you adhere to the tour’s schedule.

Can I bring my pet?

  • It can be arranged for an additional fee. Please contact us before booking if you wish to bring your pet.
